watermelon iced tea

I've been eating so much watermelon lately, and I have some recipes that I want to share in the next few days.. but first is this simple, iced tea, sweetened with watermelon juice. It's so refreshing and perfect for the summer-like weather we're experiencing in North Texas.

ingredients:
1/2 small watermelon, juiced
6 tea bags
4 cups boiling water
ice

directions:
Place tea bags in a pitcher and pour the boiling water over them. Let the tea brew for 4-5 minutes. Remove tea bags, and add ice (about 4 cups.) Juice watermelon in a juicer, and stir into the tea. If desired, sweeten with agave.

note: as with any fruit juice, drink immediately.

    1. I just used plain black tea! Twinings is usually what I buy.
